A POOL IS SOMETHING THAT GIVES SHAPE TO THE MATERIAL INSIDE

Medence Csoport is a physical and mental workshop unifying environmental design and arts (architecture, furniture and industrial design, fine arts, sculpture, installations, media and visual arts, performing art).

The team and the co-operating artists are qualified architects, industrial designers and visual communication artists. The projects of the team are inspired by mutual experiences and individual potentials. The essence of each project is to find a unique form of expression. Our overall aim is to make a new “life-model” through an attempt to create harmony between nature, art and community.

We believe that this thought can also be harmonized with the physical world. It is worth reflecting on the impact of the natural and constructed environment that is built, grown, received, and inherited by us.  To what degree do we have to accept the present structures, forms and spaces and to what degree does it define us who live here day by day? How our environments effect our thoughts, acts and dreams?

Medence Csoport aims to unify and bring different branches of visual arts together.
On the axis of tradition-innovation we are inspired by the spirit of Gödöllő Arists’ Colony and Bauhaus school, the low-tech and low-cost conception of Simon Velez’s bamboo architecture, and also the creative space interpretation of Raumlabor Berlin. We put into practice the old “arts and crafts” design tradition as we act as designers and craftsmen at the same time.
