Medence Csoport is a physical and mental workshop, unifying environmental design and the arts (architecture, furniture and industrial design, fine art, sculpture, installations, media and visual arts, performing art).

The team and the co-operating artists are qualified architects, industrial designers and visual communication artists. The team`s projects are inspired by mutual experiences and individual potentials. The essence of each project is to find a unique form of expression. Our overall aim is to make a new “life-model” through an attempt to create harmony between nature, art and community.

We believe this thought is also applicable to the material world. In the human environment where the culture is always reinterpreted the culture cannot remain unchanged. Just as the culture changes from generation to generation, our surroundings must also be dressed in the shapes and forms. It is interesting to reflect on the impact of those natural and constructed shapes that are built, grown, received and inherited around us. To what degree do we have to accept the present structures, forms and spaces, and when is it up to us, who live here day by day. How does our surroundings effect our thoughts, acts and dreams.

Medence Csoport works to unify bring together different branches of art , while intentionally separating our projects from the design and architect companies bureaucratic structure and the strongly commercial sphere of activities. Another advantage of the team is based on the old “arts and craft” design tradition, because we are at the same time designers and craftsmen.
